It Only Took A Year

Have you ever had one of those home maintenance kind of jobs that would take less than a hour to actually do, but it seems like forever before you get around to doing it? I finally did one of mine. Over a year ago I patched some holes on the walls in the living room where I had moved some pictures and where a chair had scraped the wall — so I had a number of little white spots that needed to be touched up with paint. I brought the can of paint up from the basement at least 6 months ago, sweeping around it every week and telling myself to paint the spots in the living room — I didn’t listen to myself though until one day last week. I finally opened that can of paint, got out my mini-step ladder and painted those spots. It really didn’t take very long at all to do and it feels GREAT to finally have it done!

Now I wonder how long it will be before the can of paint makes it back down to it’s shelf in the basement : )

  1. Aah, yes, the projects that take forever to get to and about an hour to actually do. They’re really not worth the years of mental anguish that we go through in procrastinating!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It’s fun to know someone else in Blogland : )!!
